NT Story for Spiritual Formation

10:45 am
Conference Room

To be good disciplers, we must be good NT storytellers – How to preach gospel narratives for spiritual formation.

Children's Ministry and the Holy Spirit

As the children’s ministry leader, you feel like all is well in the world when every detail is taken care of, every prop is sourced, every volunteer has their curriculum and the room is set and ready to go. But let’s have a discussion together about where the Holy Spirit fits between the cheesy/shaving cream game and the race to small groups. How can we, as pastors, lay leaders and volunteers, create the space for the Holy Spirit to speak to little hearts and minds? How can we be ‘Elis’ helping the ‘Samuels’ recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit so they too can say, ‘Speak Lord, your servant is listening!’

Mentoring the Next Generation

No generation has ever been more technologically savvy, more resourced or more connected than this one. Gen Z and Gen Alpha are not like the gens before us and understanding their uniqueness and the differences between the generations means loving and serving them better.

5 Keys To Healthy Sexuality In Church Culture

10:45 am
Boardroom (2nd Floor)

This engaging session will equip pastors with practical tools and biblical principles to facilitate transformative, honest, and respectful conversations about sexuality within their congregation. You will learn how to create a supportive environment that promotes healthy relationships, addresses modern challenges, and aligns with Biblical framework. Gain the confidence to lead your church towards a holistic and transformative understanding of sexuality, fostering a nurturing and thriving community.

Jesus and Justice

The workshop on “Jesus and Justice” provides an opportunity to explore the concept of Shalom in the context of a broken world. We’ll examine the biblical understanding of righteousness and justice, focusing on how to actively live out the Kingdom of God while also reconciling the injustices we see around us.

We will examine the current realities of injustice, both local and global through the lens of a biblical worldview, considering poverty, conflict, food insecurity, trafficking, and the environment. We will discuss the root causes of injustice, learn about how the church is already responding, and envision practical steps to help make the world a better place. Through a lens centered on Jesus, we’ll reflect on our broken relationships with God, ourselves, others, and creation, and explore our God given ministry of reconciliation as a vital response to these challenges.

Join us as we seek to better understand justice and position ourselves and our ministries to better reflect the hope and restoration found in the Gospel.

The Great Commission

Pastoring the next generation brings with it all sorts of rewards, but at the same time, there is a lot of pressure from various parties involved. The pressure to produce, to entertain and to engage are a short list amongst many. As a next generation pastor trying to appeal to these pressures, it can very quickly result in removing ourselves from the very mission that Jesus gave all of us. Discipleship! If you can relate in any way, come join me as we look at some intentional discipleship initiatives so the “Great Commission” doesn’t become the “Great Omission” in your ministry
